[Review] Is the DX Racer gaming chair worth the money?

By now, you’ve probably noticed that I spend a lot of time at my computer desk when I’m at home. Between streaming, blogging, and managing all social media accounts plus everything I do for work from home, I’m in my computer chair for a majority of hours out of most days.

DX Racer has several styles of gaming chairs that run anywhere from $100-$600 (and higher for a lot of custom chairs). Mine is right in the middle of that range. I’ll be honest and say that my DX Racer was a stream gift off of my Amazon wishlist. I tend to just put things on my list that I want to save and buy later. It was one of those additions I made without ever expecting to receive it. “I’ll just put this here,” I thought, “maybe one day I’ll save up enough money to buy it.” Then, one day, a gigantic box arrived in the mail and I traded in my medium-tier $150 office chair for a DX Racer. And boy is it A-MAZE-ING!

I’m a short kid, barely 5’2″. In most office chairs, my feet don’t touch the ground when I’m appropriately positioned for the desk and even the most comfy chair gets uncomfortable with 10+ hours a day of use. The head and lower back support pillows that come with the chair really help increase the time I spend comfortably in front of my computer, although I’m most often found positioned with my knees to my chest or cross-legged.

The chair came in several pieces, but it was actually a super quick and easy assembly. Most of that time spent was me dancing around the living room “squeeing.” In addition to being comfy, it also looks really cool. I get tons of people who stop by the stream that compliment my chair. It’s always great when someone tells me that they also have one and they love it too!

The chair has multiple levers to adjust the chair to your most comfortable fit and height. The armrests adjust easily. The wheels roll freely, although my computer is in a room with a wooden floor. The only thing I would say is that the straps that hold the lower back pillow in place have to be tightened from time to time when they become loose.

Now, having lived with this chair for a few months, I would absolutely say it is worth the money and I would do my very best to buy it again if the need arose. Honestly, it’s worth the money to anyone who spends a lot of time at their desk for gaming, work, or school. Interested in checking it out a DX Racer gaming chair?
